Every year, VCON’s crack Programming team assembles three days jam-packed with the best in panels, workshops, and events to keep you in geek nirvana. We hope that you are as excited by the panels, discussions, workshops and presentations we have on offer this year as we are!

Workshop Duration: 3 hrs.

Attention beginning writers! Have a sample of your writing critiqued by professional authors in a Clarion-style workshop at VCON 38!

Participants submit an original, unpublished, short science fiction or fantasy story 5,000 words or less in length, or the first 5,000 words of the opening chapter of a science fiction or fantasy novel prior to the workshop and then, during the workshop, their writing is critiqued by the participating professional authors.

Rita Schulz

International selling author, Rita Schulz writes science fiction, fantasy, and mystery/suspense. She is also an artist. Over her more than 15 year career in writing she has published 1 novel and over 30 short stories. With her husband, writer/artist Russ Crossley, she co-owns 53rd Street Publishing a multi-genre publisher.

Marcie Lynn Tentchoff

Marcie Lynn Tentchoff is an Aurora award winning writer/poet/editor from Gibsons, BC. Her work has appeared in such publications as Weird Tales, Strange Horizons, and On Spec.
