Welcome to the VCON 38 Programming Schedule.

Every year, VCON’s crack Programming team assembles three days jam-packed with the best in panels, workshops, and events to keep you in geek nirvana. We hope that you are as excited by the panels, discussions, workshops and presentations we have on offer this year as we are!

Remember to purchase your weekend membership from our membership registration page before September 15! Adult weekend memberships purchased online are only $45 - 75% of the $60 at the door rate.

Costume Contest

Cos & Effect will be hosting the costume contest! So expect the same quality of contest and judging that you would at Cos & Effect!

Confirmed judges: Special Guest Artist Thyrza Segal (also a Costumer), Barbara Klinger, & Colleen Jabeem.

Master of Ceremonies: James Charlton

You can pre-register on-site at the Convention Registration Desk. Identify whether you would like to enter the Advanced, Beginner, Junior or Non-Competitor class in either Solo or Group categories.

Barbara Hanson

Barbara has been cosplaying for over 10 years, having played with many different costumes, both hero's and villains. She loves to see and work on different costumes and see what others also can create, spreading the joy of costuming whether at cons or dance. She has also been dancing for 15 years, teaching for 5.

Thyrza Segal

Thyrza graduated from the set and costume design program of the National Theatre School in Montreal and went on to work in theatre and TV and film - including as assistant costume designer on Stargate Atlantis. But she quit film work 10 years ago to do my own art and has been painting, making lamps, terrariums, photography , sculpting, assembling and Photoshopping since then.
